Are all buffer extension tubes the same size (not carbine)? I just ordered a Stag A2 buffer extension tube. They call it an "Receiver Extension (A2)"  The A2 part is throwing me off.

I was wondering if this will work with a magpul PRS stock.

thanks in advance,
Eric

All of the rifle length receiver extensions should be the same size.  I've heard rumors of a longer A2 extension that doesn't need a spacer when used with an A2 stock but never actually seen one.

Fixed it for ya!

The receiver extension is the same for A1 and A2 length butt stocks. If you are mounting the A2 stock, however, you will need to use a little spacer at the end of the receiver extension because the A2 stock is a bit longer than the A1 stock.

Picture Thread

Please ignore the comments I made in the bump post on the last page Eric. They were in no way aimed at you. I made the comment rather tongue-in-cheek and then found your question.

Yeah, Yeah, I know.
I need to re-take that picture with an A1 stock to the left and an A2 spacer sitting next to the A2 stock...

Excuse me for trying to be helpful.
