I've been debating between building at flat top or a AR with a carry handle when i saw what could be a possible compromise, one with a carry handle with a 4x scope installed on the carry handle. My question is can one still use the iron sights with the scope installed on the carry handle? Also are there any problems with mounting a scope on the carry handle? thanks |
Yes, you can look through the mount and use the iron's with most all carry handle mount's. The biggest draw back is cheek weld... or lack of... your also fairly high above the bore center but that's not a huge problem. Most all of us have had/used carry handle mounts and have one some where in a box  if your thinking optics of any type buy the flat top.John |
