I have shot an AR many times but never owned one. I dont have a lot of money to blow but would like to get one before there is another ban. I would like a M4 style rifle and have priced it many ways. I can get a complete stag lower for 225 + a complete upper Stag flat top w/ BUIS for 489.Total for this 714 shipped. Is this the way to go or should I get a stripper lower + a kit from J&T. Stripped lower 99 form EE, kit 489,and carry handle for 49. Total for this 637 plus some shipping. The stag would be chrome lined the J&T is not. The gun will be for plinking and maybe some coyote. Is the chrome lining worth the price difference? Are ther some better deals out there? What should I do?

Get the chrome lined for sure.

Don't forget to calculate FFL transfer into the cost. It's not that much just a heads up.

remember u got to buy magazines for it too I am in your shoes. I got a ak-47 but now want to get a ar-15 also. I don't want to spend a arm and leg either. wonder if its worth it to make one for 700 bux when I see whole ones put together for 700 or so. cheapest i seen was about 700 for a complete upper and lower. these damn ar's can be expensive lol!! i seen a panther lite 16 for $599 last year at the gunstore. should of grabbed it when i had the chance.
