| How do you remove the roll pin from the front of the trigger guard on the AR (the pin closest to the mag well)? Just punch it out? Thanks. |
Do not try to punch it out...it is not a roll pin, it's a spring loaded detent. Use a punch/bullet tip to push the detent in...this will release the front of the triggerguard. The rear is a roll pin, which will require you to knock it all the way out. |
+1 on spring pin, its to lower the trigger guard when wearing cold weather gear. But I have never heard of anyone being allowed to lower it in the armed services. so its just a design feature that never gets much use.... |
Look at what holds the front pin and spring in the trigger guard. |
