What is the difference between a A2 forged front sight base and a gas block front sight base? I need to order a barrel from MODEL “1” SALES. Get ready to do first build.

this is an A2 Gas Block, this one is an armalite, M1S sells a very similar one.

So for a SBR between 10.25 to 11.5 is it better to go with the A2 or the gas blocked barrel?

The standard A2 front sight base has a front sight. The gas block has a rail to mount a front sight. Its cheaper to go with the A2 sight since you won't have to buy a sight separately. But if you prefer a folding front sight then go with the gas block.
