I am trying to figure out if the gas block on a friends upper is missaligned. Is there an easy way to see if the gas tube is missaligned or if there is a blockage somewhere in the tube. Its a brand new Oly upper and doesnt cycle at all, tried several types of ammo.

Squirt some break cleaner down the gas tube. If it runs out of the barrel then it’s most likely not clogged.

Well it’s never crossed my mind to even attempt to try and install a gas tube upside-down. But is that even possible? The gas tube is bent to fit one certain way. You would have to REALLY go out of your way to bend it to fit.

I know, when I looked at it, it didnt look right but I wasnt sure why. There was some tension on the tube when I pulled it out with the gas block and when I put it back together it went together much easier than taking it apart.
