Please recommend me some tools: I need a tool to put my 6 position stock on my lower. Do you recommend a multi-tool type? Which one? Also, I need an allen wrench to put the pistol grip onto the lower. What size do I need? Any other tools that I am missing in order to maintain my rifle....oh a good cleaning kit as well. Thanks. |

try a search... read this pls: www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=4&t=226782 if all you need is an stock wrench, get a $6 one from one of the EE dealers; if not, go ahead and get an armory tool, the DPMS one is pretty good, as is the bushmaster one get a complete Allen USA set from oriley's auto or something, but the grip screw uses a 3/16" hex be a little more specific: maintainence or building of ARs? and if building, to what extent? almost any rifle cleaning kit will work w/ .22 rods; h/w, the OTIS or a USGI kit is more for the AR |
Well, I guess I mean both maintenance and building of ARs (or troubleshooting). Like removing the barrel from an AR, handgaurds, cleaning. Like when I asked for a tool to install the stock, I was more looking long term- maybe a tool that will install the stock AND do more things that I might need done in the future- rather than making 2 purchases. And items that are of quality, cause there is lots of stuff out there to choose from. |

I have: DPMS armorers wrench Upper receiver vise block Torque wrench Brownells roll pin punch set Regular drift pin punch set Heavy duty bench vise Hammer with steel, brass, and plastic faces This plus a few everyday tools you probably have around the house is all I've ever needed to completely build/disassemble ar's the right way. |
Thanks, thats what I was looking for... |
