is there a trick to removing a flash hider? i'm new to the black rifle and am having trouble. it appears it just screws on with a crush washer or lock washer between it and the barrel. but my attempts to unscrew it have failed.

first make sure it's not pinned & welded. what kind of AR do you have?

it's a CMMG 18" flat top upper and does not appear to be pinned.
