Any of you guys remember NESSARD? I Just found a couple of their kits stashed away in my attic, Total trash for the most part, they do have brand new A1 chrome lined barrels though, which ill use. Was wondering if everyone got the same garbage from NESSARD. thanks, Melvin

Plastic carbine buffers with shot/bbs in them.  Shiny hard plastic telestock. Plastic button on the mag catch. Rollpins in the sight base at the barrel. Roll pin on the sling swivel. Plastic delta ring. Yes I bought one kit from them.

These have the plastic mag catch buttons and slip ring. The buttstocks have rack numbers painted on them. The buffers are filled with lead shot. The pistol grip is like none ive seen wont even fit on a lower. The LPK is pretty scary looking. The upper itself doesnt look too bad dark black standard A1 upper. Brand new military 1x12 A1 barrels which i specified when i ordered the kit, I probably would have gotten the roll pin FSB barrels otherwise. Didnt NESSARD become Model 1?

Yep, just got done refinishing it. Still shoots pretty good. I have one with a 20" HBar.
I built it on a cast EA lower which has held up fairly well.

The upper receiver on the kit I had was a second. The outside finish was fine but of you looked through the upper there was a step or slight off set in the boring of the carrier hole going through the upper. It worked but looked really bad looking when through it.

I remember Nesard, I odered a kit and some parts from them in the early 1990's, stuff was so bad I returned it for a refund. They refunded my money and told me to never order from them again, they did not have to worry about that.

I think after the ATF sank nessard/sendra etc two of his daughters???? each started a company, M&A and ModelOne, at least that is the internut rumor.

I used to live close to where Model 1 and M/A Parts were 'located' in IL.

It's no rumor.  I'm surprised no one ever got Model 1 paperwork w/ their M/A parts and
vice versa.

They were pretty good at keeping up the charade until Model 1 moved to Texas.

I have no idea what the relationship is now.

Nesard / Sendra / ???

You forgot DRASEN.

and Sherluk

Ask anyone who bought from them what the best preservative coating is.

Does anyone know who manufactured the barrels with the roll pin FSB, also would like to know who made the LPK for them.

Just for historys sake, how much would you sell the whole kit to me for?

Im not planning on selling them. I kept the uppers with the new A1 barrels, refinished the used A1 stocks, and threw the rest away, It was so bad i wouldnt have given it away.

This brings back memories of doing my first build 14 years ago!  Things have improved since those days.
