put my lower together last night, went out to shoot it today. after about 40-45 rounds, pulled the trigger nothing happened, seen the trigger pin partially out. pushed it back in. this happened 4 more times in 180 rds. this is a rra lower. i have read they use oversized pins! do i need to use those on my lower? do they use oversize pins because they have oversize holes? also my buffer tube is just barely covering the edge of the buffer retainer, it would not screw in another turn without hitting the(pin) part of the buffer retainer. i have a bushmaster and a factory rra, the buffer tubes on these cover more of the buffer retainer, think maybe i got a bad buffer tube? sorry about the long post.

Just get some KNS anti rotation pins. Also I wouldn't worry about the buffer retainer. As long as it is secured it should be fine.

The kns pins will fix the fcg problems. buy a set and be happy!

Buy aftermarket pins to fix a new (seemingly out of spec) lower or LPK pin?  I guess that would work, but I'd want to know which part was at fault and get a good one from the manufacturer, if it were me (lower or pin).

As long as the buffer tube/receiver extension holds the retainer down, you're good on the stock.  They aren't supposed to ram up against the post.

Agreed but it seems like it would be a BIG waste of time to have to send off the lower over the pins working free. Depends on how long the owner can stand to be without it I guess. He could also try a new set of pins and if that doesn't fix it send it back.

To the owner of this lower: Call the mfg. up and let them know what happened and see what they say before you proceed.

ETA: The mfg. may not help you out if you didn't use their LPK either. Just a thought.

silly question, Are both fingers of the hammer spring resting on the trigger pin?

If not, put them back on the pin. if you are only using one of the hammer springs fingers one the trigger pin, Make sure that the finger is resting in the groove of the pin.
