I have a Colt 20''hbar 1/9 barrel and would like to assemble it with a flat top upper. I found a Colt M4 upper receiver and would like to purchase it. Can I assemble an M4 upper with 20'' barrel? Forgive me I am new to this and this will/may be my first build. I'm asking because this Colt M4 upper has the M4 grooves or reliefs cut in it and did not know if this mattered with a 20'' barrell. If the upper has the M4 cuts, and the barrel doesn't, you may encounter some feeding problems w/the bulets snagging in the overhang between the barrel and feeding ramps on the upper. Problem can by avoided by using a Dremel Tool w/a fine cut cylindrical grinding tip to cut matching feed ramps on the barrel. If you don't feel comfortable doing this, any competent gunsmith can do the job.
