Hi all! Well, first post here, first AR and first build. Nothing special, but... Stag Arms Stripped Lower Model 1 Sales 16" AR15 C.A.R. Kit Build was easy enough, but fired the front pivot pin detent across the room a couple times though. http://www.pearltoberlin.com/firearms/ar/ar_a2_CAR.jpg TM |
Tell me about it, I been there myself, I couldnt belive it how small and how lost they would get after flying, Im still looking for it after 5 months... I just know its somewhere at that corner ......I can see it ... by the way, its a pretty nice rifle, now, you got a new task, gotta build a sling for it and buy more ... welcome to the BRD ! |

Welcome aboard, Firetoad! engineer2001 is right...SWEET!!! The long slipover FH will make it look gnarly as hell. Do it! I've also sent detents into orbit. Learned it the hard way, buy a dozen or so, springs too, & put 'em in your tacklebox! Also, try an IDF sling set-up. |

How do you like the Model 1 upper. I like the price of the model 1 uppers and kits but are a little afraid of the cheaper stuff but dont want to pay for just a name. How does the upper and lower match as far as color and shade. I am thinking of useing a stag lower and stag upper for my first build, and then maybe a model 1 upper Thanks for any info Kevin |

sparkchaser774, The coloring appears to be right on. Great match! As far as quality of the kit, from the looks of it only, the fit and finish on everything was very nice. I wish the tele stock was a little tighter, but can't complain for the price. http://www.pearltoberlin.com/firearms/ar/ar_clr.jpg FALARAK, By nature, I am a very mechanical person and enjoy this sort of stuff, first build or not. Honestly though, until I found ar15.com, the task seemed awfully daunting. I printed the assembly guides out and all worked "Grade A"! Also, I have always had a little bit of a hankering for firearms... http://www.pearltoberlin.com/firearms/collection.jpg |
