I just recieved my Phantom 5C2 Flash Hider in the mail today when i got off from work. When i try to install it it dosen't align correct where the TWO FLAT side would be on each of the side (Left & Right) which it left the bottom of the Flash Hider to the Left Side when going to tighten it up. Yes, the Flash Hider does include the washer and i am intalling with the FH. Any tips and tricks or solution on how i can align the flash hider probably? Any other washer i need or anything i have to do or buy to get it line up probably? Help would be highly appreciate it and thank you so much. |

It's common. Put your upper in a vise or have someone hold it real still. Then get a big ass wrench, put the crush washer on(curved side against barrel), and torque like hell. Did that on my Phantom 5C2 last night. www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=4&t=290984 |
Will the thread be okay? Sound like scray ...

Yes...there's a reason they call it a crush washer! |

First of all, the crush washer doesn't take a lot of force to start crushing so you don't need to be afraid. If you have a barrel vise, use that. If not, you should be able to use a action block or some other device to hold your barrel/rifle in place. If you are "torquing like hell", you are doing something wrong. |

I have found that I usually have to try 2 things. 1.) flip the crush washer around, I'm not sure which way it is supposed to go, but one way always get's closer than the other, making it easier to index. 2.) tighten, then back off, tighten, then back off, and by degrees it will index. |
