I'm still kind of new to the black rifle mistique but I just finished my second build.  On the first I used a Model 1 upper assembly, Sun Devil lower , and RRA lpk and NM trigger.  It went together like butter.  This time I used a DPMS lower and the rest was all the same.  I had some trouble this go around.  I had to ream the hole in the bolt catch to get the roll pin to go through without binding and then had to add appx .050" of depth to the hole for the pivot pin detent.  I didn't deepen the hole to make it easier, the pin wasn't going to clear the detent if I didn't.

Is it me or the parts?  Anyone else ever have similar issues with RRA parts or DPMS lowers?

They pivot hole fills with junk sometimes and need to be cleaned out. One brand lower I got it was half filled with something that looked like sand. Couple times I have gotten different lowers that were a little shallow but I trimmed the spring. My two DPMS lowers went together no problem. One was oldercast one and one new forged lower.

Yep, its leftover blasting media from the factory. I had some build up in the buffer retaining pin hole and the bolt catch plunger hole in my Sabre Defence lower. It took some time with a dental pick and a q-tip soaked in CLP to clean it out.
