| What is better the action block or the DPMS claw? |
Most people don't realize how well the claw fits the interior of the upper. There is good, solid contact all the way up into the CH recess. I don't think there is much torque applied to the lugs. Especially if you remember to torque downward when tightening or loosening the bbl nut. rj |
A vice block that completely encompasses the upper receiver and equally distributes the loads during the torque sequence seems better to me than a fixture that inserts up into the receiver. I think DPMS likes to come up with products simply to increase profits, i.e. their new "Receiver Rug" or the "triple railed upper receivers". |

I use the 2 piece Action Block from Bravo Co. It works great. I have not had a problem with it damaging my finish on the receiver either. It holds your upper solid for barrel work. I have never seen the Claw in person (only pics), but I can not see it being as solid and providing as much support as the Action Block. |
I agree with that guy ^^^^ My 2 piece block from Bravo has held up well through several builds. |
