I'm looking to get a Del-ton kit in a few months and I've got a few questions. Not in any order:

1. I've been lurking for a while and a lot of people are complaining about problems with DPMS chrome bolt carrier assemblies. I'd like to get a TiN bolt carrier, does it have the same set of problems as the chrome one?

2. I've heard people say that a flat top upper with a detachable carry handle will take a lot less abuse than a standard A2 upper with a built in carry handle. Is this people bullshiting or is it really a big problem?

3. If I get in a bind and I have to sell my rifle later, does a rifle built from a kit have a substantially lower resale value than a factory built one?

Thanks!

Don't know.

B.S.

The flat top receiver with carry handle is current issue to a lot of our troops. I guarantee you those rifles go through more abuse than the majority of the AR's on this site will ever see.

3. If I get in a bind and I have to sell my rifle later, does a rifle built from a kit have a substantially lower resale value than a factory built one?

I would not say a substantially lower value, but factory built rifles generally retain a bit more resale value. I would say overall condition is more important.

Thanks!
