They sell jigs, tools, castings & forgings.  I don't know how their service is, I've never used them.

DS Arms sells 0% lowers for $25.00.   Also, read the sticky's at the top of this forum.

Man. the lower tap is 70 bucks! and no one else sell them(that I could find). By the time you figure all the extras and machining in, it's cheaper to buy a finished lower. although, the silicone bronze one looks pretty cool.

I have also been looking for information on completeing and 80% or less reciever. I know that if you complete it for yourself it doesn't have to be registered with the BATF. But you can never sell it. All that can be done is that it can be passed on to your children or spouse after your death.

The afore mentioned sites have some good information on parts and tools needed. There is also a place that sells a kit for a modular AR lower reciever, i think that it was one of the afore mentioned sites.

I know that you can make any firearm that is commercially manufactured for yourself. IE 1911's Beretta 92's Sig 226's anything that you can find commercially you can make your own version of.

I am ASSUMING ... this is a pretty good assumption... that in the case of the AR-15 you can only make a semi-auto lower. I really don't have the information on making an M-16 lower. Thats something that I would really like to get some information on.

If you guys get any information on this subject please post it.

It seems that finishing an AR-15 80% lower isn't a big deal if you have some machining knowledge. and the access to a drill press or mill.

I have one that I got from the Tannery Shop way back before William was deployed.  I put it on the shelf for a while but yesterday I decided to finish it, it only needs the buffer hole reamed and tapped and some finish filing.
