IIRC, a Carbine has a 7"HG (to the gas block) and a Mid-length is 9"?  Been a while since I built my Midlength.

Hey Dead Eye, how do you like the skeleton stock on your AR? I'm still trying to decide on a stock, but like that skeleton version.

That's a car, but you can put a middy free float on it if you use a micro gas block, IIRC.  It won't look so lopsided that way.

As for the stock, I'd wait for the new Magpul.  I am

you are correct btw, 7in for the CAR, 9 for the Middy and 11 for the Rifle--i just forgot the #s

the CAR gas tube is ~9 1/2 in i think
