I have been lurking around here for awhile gathering information and ideas, I got some good ones. I have been building bolt rifles for awhile and recently built my first 1911. Then I got the itch for an AR. I bought a stripped lower and a complete m4 kit from Rguns. After a month of mistakes and b/s from them I finally got all my parts. Here is the result. It is an M4 with the lower coated with Norrels Molly Resin in the green parkerized version. Went together with no problems and after 500 rounds I have not had any failures. Accuracy is decent and it is a blast to shoot, only problem is I have been infected with the deadly Black Gun Virus, is there a cure? Thanks for all the good info and ideas, I learned alot on this board. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y209/PatR/e949dba7.jpg |

Nice build, congrats. The sellers at this site's Equipment Exchange are mostly pretty good, I get all my supplies there now except for one seller that I don't like. How about a middy or a 20" rifle for your next build to take care of your Black Rifle Disease (BRD). ![]() There is no cure for BRD. Now repeat after me. "My name is _______________ and I have BRD."

AR's and 1911's have a way of getting under your skin. I love it! I just completed my first AR build this week.![]() Nice looking rifle. Congrats! |

nice looking gun, included specs, build details, and great photo with extras....I rate this "My first AR" thread a 9.6 out of 10. Had to deduct for calling BRD a "problem". Nice work dude. Check the equipment exchange here for you next "fix". BRD debt is happy debt. |
