| I'm building with an A1 upper and have seen some barrels I could use, but the front sight is marked F for flat top. What are the height differences and can the sights compensate for it? Thanks, Mike |

I recently built a flat top, carbine ff hand guard, 16" bbl. When I was sighting it in I discovered the front sight post was too short. It was turned out almost above the ears of the front sight. It was explained to me that this configuration required a taller front sight. Midway or Brownells have extended front sight post. I contacted my parts supplier and was sent a new post at no charge. You may have the opposite problem and need shorter post for your "F" stamped front sight base. |
