In another thread, AlphaGhost mentions tha benefits of installing the free-float type handguards, and he ends the statement stating that there are drawbacks. Getting ready to build my first, I was pretty much sold on FF guard. I read the tacked threads and they look simple to install, and it seems the lockup is steady enough that it won't take much abuse. But before I make a solid decision, I'd appreciate it if y'all might tell me a few of these disadvantages. Obviously they cost more than regular gaurds, but what else? Thanks! |
