The laws of my country (Italy) specificaly deny the possibility to buy an A3 upper and install it in my A2 ar-15. I wonder if it's possible to chop the carry handle and install a rail in order to have a somewhat A3 upper, anyone has tried it? I know that back in time it was a somewhat common pratice to install a picatinny rail over a chopped handle A2 upper, but I've searched high and low in the internet and found nothing, not even a picture of it. Anyone can help me with pics or info about this project? I know that for you in the USA is very easy to swap uppers from A2 to A3 configuration, unfortunately in my country, that is not feasible. The real problem is that while an A3 upper is not "technically" considered a gun part in Italy (my A2 upper is not serial numbered nor has the italian government marks that insted, the lower has), NO ONE in the USA can ship internationally an A3upper. And, I cannot find an A3upper anywhere in europe... Any info REALLY appreciated, guys, thanks. |
