| Hi guys, new guy here finalizing what parts I need for my first build. Gonna do a 16'' , looking into the yankee hill machine free floating rails, they have them in 5 sizes, I am presuming I need either the 7.2'', 9.2'', or 9.675'', but how do I determine which one? If it matters, I am leaning towards installing their forearm end cap also. Additionally, I intend on using flip up front sights mounted to the top rail, as opposed to the standard sights. Thanks for your help. Joe. |

I have the 12" YHM Free Float rails (light weight version) on a 16" barrel. The only downside to the setup is that it does add more weight than if you went with a shorter rail. Here is the list of parts I ordered. YHM-9627 Flip front sight assemblies for the FF tubes YHM-9680 Flip up rear sight YHM-9636 Full length light weight 4 rail free float forearm assembly YHM-9378 Specter Gas Block YHM-9484A Rail end cap YHM-9621 Tool for forearm All parts ordered from: [email protected] Or by phone: (352) 732-2156 from 11am-7:30pm EST (Mon. - Fri. & until 4pm Sat.) http://home.sport.rr.com/rbgriff/ar-15-11-2005-small.jpg http://home.sport.rr.com/rbgriff/br-bc.jpg |
| Thanks guys. Thats the kind of info I really appreciate. By the way your guys guns look sweet. I have most of my stuff picked out and ready to order, except for the barrel. Can you guys recommend a good place to get just the barrell, most of the places I have seen sell them with front sight posts and standard hand guards which I don't need and dont wanna pay for. Also, what specs should I look for in the barrel. Is 1:9 noticeably better than 1:7? |
