OK I've read and printed out all the info listed on this forum.
Now i am ready to build my first lower.
I have all the parts.
Now is there any tricks, tools or special "look out fors" I need to worry about?
If not, here i go.
Thanks

On the side where you have to drive the mag release roll pin, apply duct tape so you won't scar it.

Slide the the trigger guard front in first before you hamme in that roll pin, breaking off one of those ears is an oopsy poo.

Use packing tape to cover the lower so you don't scracth it when putting in the bolt stop pin.  Use a clevis pin from the hardware store to install the front pivot pin.

Be careful with the detent for the front takedown pin.  They have a tendency to shoot across the room and get lost in the carpet.  I suggest doing this part of the assembly in a large ziploc freezer bag.  It allows you to see what you're doing and catches any runaway springs or detents.

+1 on the other comments
Also be careful when putting the stock/buffer tube on the lower. That buffer tube plunger/pin/thingamajig launches right nice....and you'll never find it....trust me....

Instead of the freezer bag, do it in the bathroom (the takedown pin assembly) - easy to find the detent if it launches. Better yet, use a 1/4 in. clevis pin as a tool. Available at any hardware store and works like a charm. Also, I highly recommend the taped vise grip method of pin assembly, vs the hammer and punch method.
