I'm probably blind and just ain't seein' it , but what tool do you use to remove the FS/Comp from a bbl?   Additionally, what manufacturers permanently attach  their flash hiders? The Upper I will be receiving shortly  is a Colt A3/4 flattop with a 16"barrel.  I'm looking to FF the bbl and want to know the obstacles I may be up against, such as having to cut the damn FS off. , etc.  Thanks all.

My technical skills are limited to what I've played with.  But, I bought an RRA with a 16" barrel and the FH was not permanently attached.  It is just threaded.  You need a box end wrench that fits the flats of the FH.  If the barrel is over 16", there is no reason why the FH needs to be permanently attached.  Unless local regs require it.

If it is a post-ban barrel, it will have a permanently-attached muzzlebrake. Otherwise, it will have an easily-removed flash suppressor, as long as the barrel is over 16" without it.
