Hey folks, I'm replacing the stock on one of my ARs but before I purchase the plain old A2 stock, can some of you who own the modstock tell me what you think the benefits of it are?

Also, I am not up on my politics, do I still need to worry about any pre ban / post ban issues when swapping parts between ARs?Thanks!

There is no more AWB in your state, you are fine to swap out parts as needed.

I have both A2 stock and two Vltor modstocks, carbine and carbine club foot models.

The cheekweld is very good, it's adjustable so if you're wearing thick jackets you can compensate by making it shorter.

The compartments are replaceable with either short, long or no compartment for guys using gas masks.

Vltor rubber buttpad and quick release sling swivel mounts are available. A CAR wrench is provided with the basic kit.

Club foot model is great for bench shooting because the shooter could hold it to steady the rifle.

Note that all M4 type stocks have a slight movement unlike solid A2 stocks.

It's a very tough stock, I havn't heard of one being broken yet from normal or hard use plus usually Vltor will replace it for free if it gets broken.
