Hi: Been bitten by the AR bug and have decided to build my first. Have dcecided to go with a complete lower on this one. Have heard some good things about the Stag. Any comments? Suggestions. This will be a short barrel tactical (iron sights) production division gun. All comments appreciated. Tim |
| I'm going with a complete Stag lower also. From what I've read on this board the Stag receivers are as good as any and the lower parts kits are better than most so why not get a complete Stag lower? The price is certainly right. I'm getting mine from Henry at Title II Firearms. |

I'll have three in shortly to compare to my five Bushmasters. From what I've seen in the past, having handled both Stag and Bushmaster already, there is no real difference between the two, other than logo, the price and the rear shelf, which IIRC, the Stag has a high shelf, which is not RLL/RDIAS compatible for those privileged enough to be concerned about that. FWIW, I like receivers that are anodized and dyed, without the teflon coating BS that some manufacturers put on their receivers. It's just my personal preference. I believe Stags are the type that I am looking for. |
