[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Muzzle Break?

What is the best way to align the muzzle break? I am trying to put on on my AR-15 and am wondering if I should just loctite it on there or what?

You should use a crush or peel washer to index it correctly.

Hmm.. I think you may have me there. I've never shot an AR with a suppressor.

Anyway, back to their question, what is the best way to put one on? I'm going to put a phantom on my barrel and the bottom doesn't have slots so I need to have it lined up right and at the proper torque amount. So, does the crush washer allow some leeway? Should I blue loctite it also?

If you don't plan on removing your flash suppressor all the time, just use a crush washer. No Loc-Tite is needed. Torque it to 25-30 ft. lbs.
