The detent and spring with the pistol grip in place make it so that I cannot change the selector switch.  Would it be okay to drill some out of the pistol grip hole to give less tension on the spring?  When just trying to reposition the grip I cannot seem to find a happy medium for the selector to turn.  It is either too tight or pretty loose.  Any thoughts?

I replied to your Del-ton post.  Just in case.  The selector won't turn unless the hammer is cocked.  There are links at the top of this forum that show how to test for proper function after completing a build.  It was there that I found this bit of information.  I'd thought that I had somehow screwed up my build.  After reading through the tests I found that everything was functioning as it should.

Cut the spring.

I take it that you have some lubricant in the groove that the detent fits in?  If it's still too tight, trim a very small amount off the spring, 2 or 3 coils, try it, see if that takes care of the problem or if you might need to take a little bit more off.  Trim it in small increments, it's easier to trim a little more off than put it back on when you go too far.
