| Does anyone know what the difference in height between the "F" marked Colt, and a standard Front sight base would be? Thanks |

The bases are exactly the same height overall. What's higher on the F marked base is the surface milled for the sight blade. It's .040 shallower than the standard, which puts the standard blade that much higher overall. Or you could use a standard base with Bushmaster's higher blade. Works out to be the same. BTW: That's exactly what Colt used to do on their carbine types before some "genius" came up w/the F jobbie
