1:which end of the crush washer goes against the barrel(bevel end or flat)?
2: when i torque my barrel to 80lbs i cannot line up gas tube, is it ok to back off( 65 to 70 lsb) slightly to make it fit right? thanks in advance......

You are supposed to torque the barrel nut to 30 lbs ... then proceed to tighten to align to the next indentation while NOT EXCEEDING 80 lbs of torque.

It appears that you are over tightening.

Every pic I've seen has the beveled edge to the barrel face.  I think I read somewhere that allows it to mate to the thinner profiles.  Thats the way I installed mine and it didn't KB so....

Very true, often it is only 55 to 60 foot pounds max before you start stressing the upper threads depending on the quality of said upper alloy..

don't loosen to align. loosen then retighten to align.
