Who sells the cheapest lower on the market? Cast, polymer or forged makes no difference. Thanks!

I am well aware of the Vulcan/Hesse reputation, but are they really the cheapest?

I am asking this question merely out of curiosity. I just finished my second build and have no plans to start a third.

Stag lowers can be had in the $85-$100 range.  They're probably the least expensive lower of any quality.  Lower prices on Vulcan, etc can be had.  For the $20 difference I'd get a Stag.

FORGED alumiminum; most any brand will work

check out: MEGA, stinger, rra, ametecc, stag, lar, etc--www.aimsurplus.com/acatalog/Stag_Arms_AR-15_.223_Receiver.html--this is as nice a deal that i have seen lately, great place to order from too (you might as well get 2!)

avoid hesse/vulcan

expect to pay b/w $89-$115; i would not pay more than that

Yeah, I know I said JoeKen and Vulcan in the same sentence, but he asked.

Superior lowers arent bad for the price.  Even better if you can find a cosmetically blemished one.  RB had some in the $75-80 price range.

I bought a Hesse back in the early-mid 90's when they were still pretty new in the market. Like RUN DMC said " Bam, you got beat, It's Not Funny" You get what you pay for, unless you actually buy a Hesse/Vulcan lower. Then you get piss-poor machine work to correct, a poor finish that will cost money to have refinished, and the shame from your friends in the AR community for owning a Hesse after the word has been put out! Now is all that worth saving a couple of bucks?  Rock River Armory / Olympic / Bushmaster / DPMS are all good quality lowers all range from 80 to 140, I pick up my Stags tomarrow, so I can't say until then, but reviews have been positive, can't say that for Hesse/Vulcan. But do what you want!

I got my Stag lower $75 out the door at my local gun shop. It was supposedly a cosmetic blemish, but I could not see anything wrong with it.

Get the STAG!!

I am 100% satisfied with my Stag. I would be carrying one on duty except my Department will only authorize the ABCD-R's.

Good to know those are out there.  They would probably hold up just fine, but cast is something to avoid, IMO.
