I recently had a bad trip to the range.  Both my 9mm and 223's needed adjustments and I left the tool box at home.

The mag well conversion fell a little in the 9mm.  The key on the 223 carrier worked loose, for the second time.  It was originally staked, but that didn't help.

I thought I'd loc-tite these in.  I usually use the blue.  Any reason to upgrade to a stronger loc-tite?

Thanks,

I'm no expert about the 9mm conversion block, but if you regularly install and remove this block, use the blue loc-tite.  Only use the red if you've dedicated that lower to the 9mm.  With the red loc-tite you should be able to remove it later, but you will have to get heat to the screw.  I recommend the use of a soldering iron to concentrate the heat.

I've heard of carrier keys coming loose, but I've never heard of someone repairing one with loc-tite.  It may actually work.  Your best bet would be to completely degrease the threads on the bolts and the holes.  Then use the red.

Use red locktite on the carrier key screws and re-stake them.
