just called JT distributing...AFTER I ORDERD THE KIT.. asked if their kits were chambered for 5.56 or .223 rem, he said that he didn't know there was a difference, does anyone here have the CAR 15 kit from them, and if they have shot 5.56 from them...or am i stuck with .223 rem only.

Their catalog says they are mil spec, mil spec is 5.56.

All of there barrels are 5.56 as far as I know , or were unless they made some changes. I have 3 .
You can post questions in J&T's forum in the industry forum also .

Mine is the light weight tactical and it is 5.56mm. I think Model 1 is the only company that this was an issue with unless J&T have changed....

called j&t back....a new guy told me the .223 info earlier, can't blame him, two days ago, i didn't even know there was a difference, but a more knowledgable person got the second call and cleared everything up for me....thanks..
