I'm assembling my lower receiver now following the instructions on here.  I haven't gotten far.

My bolt release plunger is not fitting into the receiver where it is supposed to.  I tapped it in and it got stuck.  I had to pull it out with needle nose pliers.

What do I do?  Does the hole in the receiver need to be enlarged?  Or do I sand down the bolt release plunger?

I recently had a bolt catch that was a little too thick.  Thankfully I keep a supply of parts on hand, and just grabbed another one.  In your case, I would say to sand the part a bit until it dropped in and had a free range of motion.

Ooops, I just read it again and see where you wrote plunger, my bad.  Take a drill bit of the same size, and gently/ by hand twist it and clean the hole out.  Flashing can be left in there sometimes.
