Do the JT dist free float hand guards come with end caps like the YHM one you can buy?  How important is chrome lined uppers or chrome bolt and carriers.  You guys are awesome for helping me out.  This will be my first build.

I recently built a J&T bull barrel model with the free float handguard, the end of the handguard is open, with the gas block mounted on the barrel just forward of the handguard, you don't see any big gap if that's what you are thinking.

can't help ya with the JT free floats, but as far as the chrome lined - the real value boils down to how yer gonna feel without it.  the fact that yer interested in one probably means that if you don't get one yer always gonna kinda wish you did.  i carry my (current) rifle all sorts of places, i don't always use a case (in fact, i rarely do) and i like shooting it a whole lot more than cleaning it, so i enjoy the peace of mind that comes with a more corrosion resistant barrel.  would it have deteriated by now if it wasn't chrome lined?  who knows, but i'm sure i would've worried about it more.  also i've seen FTE's with non lined barrels when the old "gummy" wolf was used and i really like cheap ammo

Don't worry about chrome. Think about it, all of my old Winchesters were NOT chrome lined, or most of my other weapons. I think it is said that a chrome lined chomemoly barrel is actualy less accurate than an unlined chromemoly barrel (unlined stainless being even more accurate). I might put a chomed barrel on one of my builds in the future, but for now I've never had a problem, shooting ARs since '97, only one stuck case.

No.  They aren't threaded to accept them either, unless something has changed.
