Thinking about adding a float tube to my AR . . . . what action block should I be using? Is there one that is a better value than others? Thanks! |
Panther Claw I think when it's time to get an action block, then I'll get that one. Regular action block won't work with my Stag upper I don't think. I have seen them cheaper than this |
For the price, I wouldn't use that one unless I had to with a left handed receiver. There is a lot of torque being applied to the take down holes on the upper. Make sure not to over torque. I use the block that brownells has. www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/store/ProductDetail.aspx?p=9813&title=AR-15%2fM16+RECEIVER+ACTION+BLOCK |
That Panther Claw is the only reason I would choose it, is fact that my gun is a lefty. |
| Fulton Armory offers the Peace River style action block with insert for just $29.95 plus shipping. |
Brownells has two different prices there. When they say set do them mean the insert? Is the insert necessary and does anyone know if the Bushmaster block comes with an insert. |
I believe that "set" refers to the combination of the lower mag well block and the upper receiver blocks. AFAIK the Peace River/Brownell upper receiver block always comes with the insert. |
