[ARCHIVED THREAD] - dumb newb question

okay so im expecting to recieve my upper in the next couple days. I already have the lower so all i need to do is connect the two. Are they any certain ways these to have to go on together, i.e. does the hammer have to be up or down on the lower before putting the upper on?

You can close the upper and lower halves either way, hammer down or hammer cocked. I always have my lowers hammer down before I close them. I tip the muzzle down so the firing pin moves forward to clear the hammer and close 'em up...
