I'm gonna call JT Monday, hoping they make a Mid length kit.  Am I gonna be disappointed?

Armalite, RRA, and a couple of smaller outfits offer mid-length uppers.     I bought a RRA mid-length upper for a project I'm still working on, and while I haven't shot it yet, I already plan on having some work done on it.

Since it's HBAR+, it's just too dang heavy.   It's heavier than my 20" A2 profile upper by about three ounces.    Gotta get the barrel turned down some to shake the weight.

I love my middie.  Came from Adco and shoots great.  I just looked at J&T's new catalogue and I didn't see one. But that doesn't mean they can't get you one.  Good Luck....

Yeah, if JT doesn't have one I'm gonna go Adco.  Adco lists an A2 middy but no A3.

DSG sells an awesome mid-length kit. They are on the EE. Govt prifile chrome lined barrel of 4150 steel, 6 pos m4 stock, ergo grip, and lower parts kit all for $575. I want one to finish my Lauer lower.

I was just looking at his post, too steep for me.

Mine is quite heavy too! I'm gonna send it off to have the barrel turned down a bit to lose some of the front end weight,,,,,,,,,,,

Armalite invented that handguard and i think they make it with a lighter barrel under the handguards.  They use the HBAR weight on the rifles but not the carbines.

CavArms makes a middy now. I am not sure if it is on the website yet, but I have one sitting in my safe.

Armalites is a mid profile.  Not quite gov't profile, but definitely not HBAR.  I had one and liked it, except I changed all my setups to 1/7 barrels.

I bought my middie kit from M&A and am quite happy with it. It's an HBAR, which took a little getting used to, but I like the feel of it quite a lot now. The midlength has so many advantages over the carbine length system I'm actually surprised everyone doesn't have one by now.

I've posted this pic several times, but for those who haven't seen it:
