My first AR build and based on what I found on the forum decided to go with a J&T kit. Ordered a 20" HBAR chrome lined A3 flat top kit. Because I live in NY and we still have an AWB I ordered it with a tactical brake. Ordered on or around the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and had it the following Wednesday or Thursday which I think is pretty good considering the long holiday weekend. I didn't get around to building it until the 2nd or 3rd of December and found that it was missing the Pivot pin and selector spring. I picked those parts up at a gun show that weekend and completed the build. Called J&T on the 6th anyways and advised them of the missing parts and they sent them out. Had them by the 11th. Overall, I feel that the service I received was very good. The selector spring they sent was much better quality and stiffer than the one I got at the show so it went in last night. The only complaint I had was the selector switch was "too soft" and really didn't click into position. The new spring corrected that problem. The kit appears to be well made and assembled and I am very happy with it. Did a 20 round function check at the range this past weekend and all ran well. One nice thing I noticed is that my brass all ejected to the same place so it was easy to "police up" unlike my FAL which throws them all over the place. I only did a function check as I had the standard A2 front site and I forgot to order a riser for the Red dot, duh. Couldn't see the target. Got that corrected last night so it's back to the range this weekend for a more thorough evaluation. This kit went on a LAR Grizzly lower and the color match is pretty close. There is a little slop between the upper and lower and will install a wedge to correct that. Overall I'm very happy with my first build and would recommend J&T. Just thought you would all like to know. By the way, thanks to the board for all of the assembly information. I had absolutely no problems at all other than I dropped the pivot pin detent. Fortunately, J&T provided an extra in the kit so I didn't have to search for it. Oh yeah, one little hint. DO NOT "tap" in the trigger guard roll pin at 7:30am in the room next to where your wife is sleeping, LOL. Brett
