Lookin at triggers and since i don't have any experience with aftermarket ones i'm wondering what you guys recomend for a trigger for under $160  I want a light pull (1.5-4lbs) with a crisp break. (don't want to worry about the rifle getting jarred and going off with the light trigger either.)

I like the jp trigger that i listed below.  Does their speed hammer make a difference?

Ones i have looked at:

Complete JP Fire Control Package (in house special)
with trigger kit, speed hammer and free anti-walk pins

Rock River NM 2 stage trigger

have you looked at the chip Mc cormick match triggers? think they are right at your budget.

i have a rra two stage tuned by woa and think it is wonderful and simple trigger for the money and would buy again if had to be done again

but i think in the near future i will be giving the chip mc cormick trigger a try

I have the JP setup and it is exactly what you say you want.  I prefer the single stage triggers to the two stage.  I did the $220.00 special with JP and got great service.  Since doing the mod I have approx. 5000 rds with no malfs. or problems.

Now I did this a little over a year ago and since then both JP and McCormick have come out with modular drop in triggers.  The JP is $180 on their site and the McCormick can be had for about $165 if you search a bit.

A buddy has installed the McCormick and in shooting it a little I would rate it as good as my JP.  It will be going into my next build.

Take care Craig
