Hi folks.  I'm in the market for an assembled lower receiver and would like to know what everyone thinks about the DPMS forged lower, Rock River and the Bushmaster.  The DPMS is $217.00 at FAC and it seems like a pretty good price.  The others seem to be $75-$100 more.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Have you thought about building it? It's easy, I bought an Ameetec here in AZ for $90 a RRA LPK  for $54 and a RRA M4 stock both from Eagle Firearms and a Hogue grip for $14 from Cheaper than dirt. Total price was only $227 for everything.

Thanks for the advice.  I have built one before, an Eagle arms lower and J&T Expedition kit.  I love it.  Just thought about trying it a different way this time.

The DPMS lower is $212 shipped at Kiesler's but your FFL would have to order it.

FAC.    Had terrible luck actually getting anything from them.  Better to buy from the good dealers here in the EE.

DPMS and RRA lowers cost the same, right around the $100 mark.  Bushy lowers are around $150.  I prefer Bushmaster, but own and like many other brands as well.  When it comes to budget lowers, it really does not matter much... all the $100 lowers out there are quite similar in fit, finish, and overall quality.

The best deal in lowers I know of is Stag Arms, from Eagle Firearms.

www.eaglefirearms.net/stag_arms.htm

They are $85, and charge very fair shipping prices.  Good people.  They will build a lower with whatever you want on it.

Stag Arms and RRA are about the same, both built by Continental Machine.... just different stampings on them.

I have put three rifles together on Stags, and they were great, exactly as the RRA builds (other than being a little tight on Colt and Bushy uppers, but thats a different story.)
