I want to turn one of my ARs into a short barreled rifle. What is the shortest barrel length I could go for dependability and 5 moa accuracy or less? Will it be a mistake?

not sure; maybe a 11.5 in bbl??
i think that it would be a mistake--ARs in 5.56 w/ a bbl less than 14.5 in is cool looking, but mostly useless

My 7.5 and 11.5 will do 1 1/2" at 100 with a cheap 3-9x40 scope and 52gr HP Hornady handloads.
