Oooh I have one of those.  Didn't realize they were so fragile.

Looks like cristalization of the metal.
I don't see any indications of stretching or bending.
Possible reasons: improper cooling/heating during the manufacturing process, contamination of the metal, etc...

See if they'll replace it.

Yeah, it must just be defective. I have emailed them with a pic. I bought a Bushy in the mean time. If they replace it I'll keep it as an extra.

I've been using a BM wrench for over 8 years now.
It has built and dissassembled many an upper, some by friends who aren't as nice to their tools as I am.
Come to think of it I have taken a hammer to it a couple of times myself.

I emailed a pic to DPMS last night, no response yet, anyone have much customer service dealings with them? If I dont hear back in a day or so I am going to call. A pic is worth a thousand words, so I'd rather start my dealings letting them see what my complaint is.

Mine isn't fragile.  I beat the piss out of mine numerous times and it is still going strong.  Must have been a defect in that one.
