I am thinking about getting a Vltor for my next build. I don't know anyone that has one personally to try. On average do they have a tighter fit versus the standard  collapsable type stocks? I know the Magpulls are tight but don't want to lay out the money for one at this time.

VLTOR is top notch.  On par with all other high end buttstocks.  Cheek weld is like laying on a pillow (if  I can borrow a term), there is so much surface area.  On a VLTOR tube, they are as tight as any.

You can't compare it to a Magpul since that is basically and adjustable fixed stock .

The Vltors are tigher than most cheap M4 stocks I have seen - very little wobble.  The only thing I have found to be consistently tighter is the LMT SOPMOD stock.  But YMMV....

I bought a Vltor but I really wanted the LMT SOPMOD but I couldn't justify the price difference, After I recieved it (Thanks Bravo Company) I fell in love with the quality fit & feel!
I have since seen the LMT  &  It has nothing on my opinion on the Vltor!

Why isn't LMT in the Industry forum?

Bought the Vltor and like it very much.  Just be sure you mount the cheek pads symmetrically.  Otherwise you'll have an extra hole with out a screw.  Tom
