who is making 6.8 marked lowers? I'm thinking about building an SPR in this cal. don't have the money for a Barrett and have read varying opinions of model 1s.

Very high quality. I have two of them (a 5.56mm and a 6.8mm) and I'm very pleased.

EDIT: You could always go with a Mega lower they're marked 'Cal Multi'.

Ameetec has 6.8 marked lowers!?! Gotta put that on the list...

I like my Stags a lot, I don't have any Mega's yet (I'm looking for a local source) but I have yet to hear ANYTHING bad about a Mega, and believe me I've been looking. Both lowers are roughly the same price.

As for uppers, check out Bravo Company USA in the EE, they're selling 'stock' 6.8 complete uppers with CMT flat tops (they match the Stags perfectly, hmm) and chrome lined M1S barrels. I have one and I'm very pleased with it. Plus they're $499 shipped! Paul hooked me up with a post ban type (I Live in a commie state) and he was great to deal with.

I own a Stag Arms 6.8 marked lower. Very pleased with the quality of it, best fit and finish I have seen..
