I just ordered a PRI flip FSB from J&T yesterday. Anyone have any experience with these folks? The over the phone experience was none too impressive. No order number, total, or anything was given. I was told, "It'll yet out soon as possible honey" then "Click!".

They are great folks IMHO. I have been dealing with them for a couple years now, purchased two rifles from them and just had them thread my barrel (two day turn around for $30.) They are a small operation and talk to everyone like you are their neighbor. Please bear in mind that they're located in a VERY small KY town and have a typical southern way of doing business. You might want to call 'em back to get a total, but you'll definately get what you ordered in a timely fashion Just my .02 |

I just got done with my first build from them and will be using them from now on. They are fantastic and go well out of their way to get you exactly what you want. I got the same deal as you when I called and found out later it's because they have been slammed since the AWB sunset and are trying to get some new people trained and they weren't able to keep some delivery date promises so they aren't promising anything as far as delivery dates until they get their backlog done. I felt a little sketchy after placing my order actually, not feeling real sure the lady that took the order knew exactly what I was wanting. I picked it up this weekend and the order itself was perfectly executed exactly the way I had ordered it. I called back and got my total also. HTH, NS6 |

I had the same experience with them as everyone here. They where a bit slammed but the kit will get out asap and the quality seems to be great. As far as the order number I wouldnt worry about that to much, my only advice would be call them befor the ship you kit and tell them you want a tracking number. I didnt ask before mine went out and when i called later no one was able to look it up. Anyway great kit, and jesse did everything he could to take care of me. |
Yep, we're moving up now! We got us a SUPERCENTER WALLYWORLD! Seriously, Winchester may have grown some population-wise, but it's still a small town, and I hope it never changes. Old timers still hang out in the barbershops and restaraunts to gossip about EVERYTHING Everybody waves at each other....and will stop their cars to chat (in traffic) if they actually know you People stop to let you out of your parking space even if they don't want your spot Kids still use 'Sir' and 'Ma'am' when speaking to their elders Everybody knows WHAT you're doing, WHEN you're doing it, and has an opinion if you should be doing it all Most folks only have two styles in their wardrobe...Realtree and Mossy Oak Best part is, WallyWorld clerk doesn't think it's all that unusual when you order up a case or 2 of WWB every time there's a sale! |
And the best part is that you can get Ale-8-1 anywhere. |
Should of gone to the Chantilly gunshow and seen them in person I have only bought from them at the gunshows, but they seemed like decent folk |
+10 Any chance of a special edition DoubleStar lower with an Ale-8-1 logo? I'd pay extra! When I was a kid in Boy Scouts, we used to stop in Winchester on our way to Red River Gorge to load up on Ale-8 at the Food Town. Fortunately, they started selling Ale-8-1 in the Cincinnati area a couple of years ago, so I can get it anytime I want now. |
LOL That's a good idea. I talk to the boss man a few months before the AWB lifted and he just signed to send a butt load of rifles to Iraq.

They were nice and helpful and all these glowing reports and you canceled? Interesting. I just had them cut, crown, thread and perm attach a Phantom for me in less than 3 days so I am sure they would have gotten an FSB out quick. NS6 |

Having shopped several board sponsors, I can only say that J&T is the only one I've dealt with that I have had a) 100% positive experience b) exceeded my expectations and c) didn't talk down to me when I called. There's a ton of other good businesses that are linked here, but for kits (and to some extent, small parts, they get my $$$ if the price is within 5% or 10%) |
They said they had no real idea of exactly how long they were back ordered. Could be 2 days or 2 months. MSP had the goods in stock, shipped within hours. I will definately do further business with them, but if I can have the item shipped sooner for the same price I will. |
| I have ordered from them and they are OK, They really need to update thier website I ordered a colt M4 barrel and recieved a pencil instead, and paid 350 not the 299 that they advertised. Not that great I as far as I am concerned. Still waiting for the "BOSS" to return my call on that one. But my phone has not been ringing. I have ordered several kits from them in the last two years and I will not order anymore unless they make it straight. So they are that that great after all. |
Yeah, and they have Ale 8-1 too! Oops...seems like I'm not the only one to notice |
If they don't make this right, I'd be very, very suprised. They are good people and are out to make their customers happy. |
Roger that. You should go to Eastern Ky. where I grew up to see a small town, lol. Back to your regularly scheduled programming. |
