I just finished couple of 9 mm steel buffers and now I´m looking for source to get polymer end plugs for them just in case those nylon made aren´t durable enough. Nylon looks and feels much harder than the original and I´m afraid it is going to split under extended use.
Is anyone able to tell me where those parts can be found or does anyone know what material is that thing.
Couple of more questions, what´s purpose of the separate buffer head of 9mm buffer? Why it is not solid as carbine buffer?

The buffer's end is made of urethane, just like the urethane bushings used on high performace auto suspensions. Buffer Technologies has the right part.
Delrin is not the correct material to use for this, does not rebound correctly.

I found those parts from Brownells. Does anyone have idea why is 9mm buffer head separate?
