Was thinking about the S.I.R. hand rail for an M4 type AR. Are these worth the $400. + price tag?

My God no. I don't see the point in buying a SIR when you could get a lighter and less expensive tube that performs the exact same job. Go YHM, IMHO. BrightFlashlights has great prices.

IMO DD 7.0. Lightest of the bunch and rock solid. LaRue is another option.

+1 on the YHM. Bravo Company won't have them in stock until next week though.
