[ARCHIVED THREAD] - which barrel length?

This is my frist build and still trying to decide which barrel length to go with. Im thinking about going with a flattop for optic's later, but Im undecided about what barrel length to go with. A 16" or 20" barrel? I'll problely won't be shooting no farther than 200 yards. So would a 16" barrel be accrate enough for this distance? thanks Jeff

Yes for short ranges the 16" will be a fine choice.

What do you plan on using the rifle for the most?

I going to use it just for target and plunking, I have a Fab10 for my lower receiver so Im not going to build a tactical rifle, just something to take to range. The range I go to only has 100 yards, so Im pretty limited on distance.

Then is doesn't matter build what's cheap and works. Doesn't even need to be that reliable.
